Adopt Me features Abigail

Back Home Next

Abigail is a 7 lb. approx. 11 year old female Chihuahua. She is not a lap dog but does come to me at times and lets me pick her up and pet her briefly. Abby has a grade 2 heart murmur we are treating with medication and keeping her weight under control. Abigail gets along with all the dogs here but she is a true chi will stand her ground if another dog tries to take her bone or invade her den uninvited. She likes to play with the other chi's here. She is a little doll baby who needs time, patience and love to help her overcome the mistreatment she experience during her days in the puppymill. We are still working on house-training and she is pretty good about using the pads if she doesn't get outside in time. She is not fond of men but will tolerate them. She is an extreme flight risk, she does not come when called. She must either have a fenced yard or be kept on a leash at all times when outside. Abigail is looking for someone to love her and treat her like the little queen she is. If you have questions about Abigail please contact me: bonnie1322@yahoo.com , she is being fostered in South Jersey.

She has seen a cardiologist and as long as we keep an eye on her she will be fine. Abigail's hernia has been repaired, however, the vet said the area should be monitored because her muscles were so thin there might be a possibility of the stitches not holding. Abigail gets along with all the dogs here but she will stand her ground if one tries to take her bone or invade her den. We have two other chi's and she loves to play with them.
