Adopt Me Page features Billy

Billy has grown a year older, 9 years old now, and looking for his forever home. A few things have changed in his life. Billy has completely lost his sight and we believe he has lost a bit of his hearing. This does not hinder him though, he gets around well in familiar places. I call him my little "bumper car" if he bumps into something he backs up and goes the other direction. He is on cyclosporin drops to keep his eyes healthy. He likes to be with me and will search me out. He does love to sit by me on the sofa and nap. He would do well as an only dog. He gets along with most of my dogs but he does not interact or play with them. Billy has arthritis in his front legs from his years in the cold, damp mills so his weight must be kept under control. He is on supplements which have helped him immensely. His house manners can be a bit challenging. He is pretty scheduled but you have to watch him and take him out, if you don't, well he's a mill dog and some habits are hard to break. He has so much love to give and kisses from his sweet smushy face. If you are looking for a great companion that doesn't require a lot of exercise Billy is your man. If you have questions about Billy please feel free to contact me. bonnie1322@yahoo. com Billy is being fostered in South Jersey

Billy is a sweet special needs 20lb. fawn pug looking for his forever home. He loves to be with his person and in a lap. He does get a bit jealous with other dogs around if he is with his person and at dinner time. He would be great as an only dog. He has so much love to give and kisses from his sweet smushy face. If you are looking for a great companion that doesn't require a lot of exercise Billy is your man. He has retina degeneration and will probably be blind within the next year. He does still see shadows but that will diminish. This has not seemed to hinder him, he gets around well in familiar places. He is on cyclosporin drops to keep his eyes healthy. Billy also has arthritis in his front legs from his years in the cold, damp mills so his weight must be kept under control.

He is on glucosomine/chondroitin supplements and he has done very well using these supplements. Billy cannot do steps because of his arthritis. If you have questions about Billy please feel free to contact me: bonnie1322@yahoo.com . Billy is being fostered in South Jersey.

History on Billy.

Ladies: (to Puppymillrescue Board)

I had Billy at the Vet tonight for his two front legs. They took x-rays and he has numerous bone spurs and his joints are well worn. Dr. Wray felt he could definitely benefit from surgery and suggested making a consult appointment with an orthopedist. Billy's soft pallet is also very long and could be trimmed if he does have this orthopedic surgery. Dr. Wray did not have any idea on a cost. He said we would get an estimate at the consult appointment. He suggested Dr. Franzuski in Fraser first or the U. of Penn.. He did give me the name of a couple of others but they are farther away. I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards, Bonnie foster mommy.

Billy is a 16.5 lb. fawn male pug who with the help of two PMR Angels was freed from a life of living in a cage that was too small. This is evident by the atrophy of his leg muscles and the sores on the top of his head caused by hitting his head on the cage

His feet are flattened with sores between his toes from wires. With all that he has experienced he is a very loving happy little guy. The pug is described as "A lot of dog in a small package" and that easily applies to Billy, he is just that. He gets along with other dogs and is curious about cats. His house manners will have to be addressed but he seems to be a very smart boy. He is just looking for someone to love him, to treat him like the prince he is and in return he will be a warm loving companion.
