Lindsey Browning is my PAL

Montana is a beautiful, 6-year old long-haired dachshund. As you can
see, he has a wonderful dark red coat and he weighs around 12 pounds.
Montana is looking for a long-term committed relationship with a special
person. In return, he will be your best friend and wonderful companion.

Montana's ideal home would include a fenced-in yard so he can run
around. He would also prefer having someone home most of the time. He
would be ideal for someone who works part-time, is retired, or works
from home. He loves to ride in the car and run errands with you. He
does walk on a leash (with a halter). Montana is very smart and eager
to please and would benefit from having someone to work with him on
training. Montana is not reliable around small children although he
would be fine with older teens. Montana is used to being in a home as
he had been adopted for 5 years. His owner relocated and could not take
him with her so he came back to PMR. Montana is very good about letting
you know when he needs to go outside, however, he does need some
additional work on "holding" it when no one is home.

Montana gets along with other dogs, however, I think he would love being
an only dog. He is in good health although he has had crystals in his
urine and is on prescription food from the vets. While the food is a
little more expensive, he does not eat very much so it does last for a
long time.

Montana is currently fostered in Central Illinois. For additional
information please e-mail janis_swanton@yahoo.com. Montana would make a
wonderful addition to the right home.
