Update June 1th

Norma Jean has done wonderful on the medication for her heart murmur and the vet feels she can go the rest of her life without the heart murmur progressing.

Norma Jean loves nothing more than to cuddle up on someones chest and sleep. She craves human contact and will spend hours on your lap. She is a very quiet girl and I feel she has done a wonderful job adjusting smoothly in her transition from a wire cage to a home environment.

Now all Norma Jean needs is for a forever family that she can call her very own.

Jeanie...and my little love Boo

Norma Jean is a 7 year old, smooth coat, Chihuahua. She weight 6.8 and is current on all vaccinations, has received a dental, has been spayed, and dewormed. Even though she recently had a dental, she needs to undergo another and have her last four remaining teeth removed. She also has a grade 3 heart murmur that needs to be addressed before she receives her dental.

Norma Jean is doing better than expected with her socialization with humans. She is curious and spends time, running around with her tail up, investigating the house. She still paces around out of fear but I can easily approach and pick her up without her shaking. Just this morning, while she was behind the baby gate, she put her feet up on the gate and I leaned over and picked her up. She was not afraid and wanted me to pick her up. I feel she will adjust smoothly in her transition from a wire cage to a home environment.

Norma Jean is being fostered in the Louisville Kentucky area. If you have any questions on Norma Jean, you can email her foster mom at mylilluvboo@yahoo.com
